“The Dreidel Song” (also called “I Have a Little Dreidel” or “Dreidel, Dreidel, Dreidel”) is a fun and special song that many children sing during Hanukkah, the Festival of Lights. 🕎✨
The song is all about a dreidel, which is a small spinning top with four sides. Each side has a different Hebrew letter on it! When you spin the dreidel, it twirls around and lands on one of the letters — and that’s how you play a cool game with your friends and family during Hanukkah. 🌀🎲
Making and playing with a dreidel is a fun way to celebrate and remember the story of Hanukkah. Plus, singing this happy song makes the holiday even more joyful! 🎶😊
Fun Hanukkah Facts! 🎉
Hanukkah is also called the Festival of Lights because of the special candle holder called a menorah. Each night of Hanukkah, families light one more candle to celebrate. 🕯️
The dreidel game helps remember a time when Jewish people had to hide their religious studies — they would pretend to play games so they wouldn’t get caught.
Hanukkah lasts for 8 nights, and each night is filled with songs, games, yummy food, and lots of love! ❤️
